Hi there, I'm Rula Rashid, a proud Palestinian American hailing from the vibrant state of Minnesota. My story begins with the inspiring journey of my parents, who immigrated from the country of Jordan, bringing with them a rich tapestry of culture and tradition.

Growing up in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, I embraced the outdoors and developed an insatiable wanderlust that led me to explore every corner of our incredible world. It was this adventurous spirit that eventually landed me at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, where my path truly took root.

From representing over 40,000 students in the Minnesota Student Association, to fostering partnerships with organizations both within and beyond the University, I discovered the incredible strength in diversity. Our coalition, united by a common purpose, showed me the power of solidarity across cultures and backgrounds.

During college, I co-founded a cupcake shop with my mother, who became my greatest teacher. Through this venture, I unearthed my interest in managing a business, finding my stride in both people-driven endeavors and the intricate world of finance, numbers, analysis, and forecasting.

A semester at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, was a dream woven from wanderlust and academic ambition, and it marked the beginning of a lifelong love affair with exploring the world. Back on familiar soil, I found my professional home at Medtronic, a place that resonates with my core belief in leading with the heart.

Over the years, I've worn many hats, but today, I am a Finance Manager supporting the Brain Modulation division. It's here that my passion and my work find perfect harmony.

I merge Financial Modeling, Data Analytics, and Business Partnering in an industry committed to improving the quality of life of millions of patients. My role is to illustrate a story to leaders and help achieve our financial commitments and goals.

But life isn't all about numbers. I find solace in the rhythm of yoga, the power of strength training, and the simple joy of walking by the lake. I have a knack for creating memorable moments, whether it's throwing together impromptu gatherings adorned with exquisite charcuterie boards or curating luxury picnics that are a testament to my creative side.

In my world, empowerment is key. As Co-Chair of the Finance Early Career Committee at Medtronic, I'm committed to developing early career & diverse finance talent.

Beyond the corporate walls, I'm a connoisseur of aesthetics. You'll find me curating a modern, RH contemporary-inspired space, sharing my travel tales, and basking in the simple joys that life has to offer. Through it all, I'm eager to share my thoughts, opinions, and the creative musings that color my life.
